Provenance Frock coat of Private Jacob Owen McGehee, who was a sixteen year-old Nottoway County farm boy when he enlisted in Co. A, 53rd Virginia Infantry in 1862. He was wounded at Five Forks, survived and was paroled at Burkesville, Virginia, at the end of April 1865.
