Description The medal is a brass Greek cross with gilt. The center medallion is red enamel on one side and green on the other. "City of Mexico / Army of Occupation - Aztec Club U. S. Army 1847" is written on each side. The medal is suspended from a blue, green, and white striped ribbon. The medal is associated with a lapel pin (0985.3.134) and another medal (0985.3.135).
