Pistol captured from one of John Hunt Morgan's men at Greenville, Tennessee, September 1864.
John Hunt Morgan and his men were resting in Greenville on September 4, 1864, when Union forces entered the town and killed Morgan. Several of his staff officers were taken prisoner. It is believed that this pistol was captured during this event.
