Description Lid to a sugar dish that was carved from a single piece of ivy. The dish base (.13b) is oval-shaped with side holds carved to look like human hands holding a rod. The lid (.13a) has a top pull in an organic form.

Provenance A Mr. Watkins of Orange County, Virginia carved this sugar dish & lid with a penknife from a piece of ivy. He was in camp near the Orange County Courthouse; he gave the dish to Peter Honson, who in turn gave it to Miss Mary T. Greenhow.
