Description The cape is made of greenish-gray (faded from gray) wool and cotton twill cloth with no lining. The cape contains small black rubber buttons. Each button has a backmark which reads, "N. R. Co. / P=T." The cape is attached to an overcoat (.65a). Both the overcoat and cape are associated with a shell jacket (.65b).

Provenance John Quincy Marr of the "Warrenton RIfles" wore this cape, overcoat (.65a), and shell jacket (.65b) as part of his Confederate uniform. He was killed at the Battle of Fairfax Court House in 1861.
