Letter - JEBS-2

"J. E. B. Stuart to [Alexander Stuart Brown], June 3, 1850" Physical Appearance: The letter (autographed, signed) is from J. E. B. Stuart to his cousin Alexander Stuart Brown, dated June 3, 1850. Stuart documents his trip to Charlottesville, Virginia, where he visited the University of Virginia and Monticello. Stuart also gives his impressions of various members of the U. S. Senate as they appeared in session (including Daniel Webster, Henry Clay, Jefferson Davis, Sam Houston, and Henry Foote). (See Mitchell, "Letters of J. E. B. Stuart," 13-16.
