Uniform frock coat: double breasted, 9 buttons in each row in groups of three, steel gray wool cloth with buff wool broadcloth piping, no facings, black wool and silk lining in body, unbleached cotton sheeting lining in sleeves, embroidered gold general's insignia backed in buff wool broadcloth on collar, gold sleeve braid, and Confederate staff buttons. The buttons have backmarks, "HT&B / MANCHESTER" and "EXTRA RICH."

French Pattern 1822 (Model 1860 U. S.) Officers Light Cavalry Saber: single-edged, curved blade with rounded back and rudimentary false edge and two fullers; brass hilt with a knuckle bow and two branches, decorated with a floral scroll at the distal ends of both branches, flowing from an oval guard and terminating at the pommel, decorated with leaves along its forward edge; forward end of guard decorated with fan-shaped floral spray; wood grip with swell in the center covered in shagreen and wound in twisted brass wire. Metal scabbard (.5a) with two suspension rings and large drag.

Uniform Overcoat: double-breasted with seven buttons in each row, cadet gray wool kersey with no facings or piping, red flannel lining in body and sleeves, and two slanted exterior pockets at waist. Confederate Staff buttons on the front with backmark, "W. DOWLER / SUPERIOR QUALITY." Cape cuff-size attachment buttons with backmarks, "W. DOWLER / SUPERIOR," "RIVET'D & / SOLDER'D," AND "EXTRA / RICH."

Non-regulation Militia Officer's Sword; straight single edged blade, single broad fuller, etched with floral sprays and military trophies, first 1/3 of blade blued and gilded, engraved "P.D.L"; gilded brass hilt, guard cast with U.S. eagle, quillon terminates in an eagles head, baroque knuckle bow with lions head medallion; helmet pommel, mother of pearl grip. Leather scabbard (.39a) with brass mounts with frog stud.
