There are two spinnings on the lower shaft. The shaft is spiral with two spinnings in the middle. Globes are 1988.028.00001-6; not original to the gasolier

This three arm gasolier has the figure of Sir Walter Scott on the base. The gasolier is made from French bronze with gilt brass pipes and gilt ornaments.

This gasolier has six arms and an elephant head motif on the arms. This gasolier has an entire gilt finish and elaborate designs on the central spinning, depicting harvest, tools, crops, leaves/flowers. The center spinning is decorated with floral designs and top spinning depicts grains/wheat, fruit and leaves.

The swivel arm office chair is made of mahogany, pine, and poplar with black leather upholstery. Eleven buttons are tufted on the back with brass tacks. The arms are baluster turned wood. The four stem legs are also wood with double casters.

This four arm gasolier is made from gilt and pewter with megorical figures of Art, Science and Agriculture above the arms. The gasolier has a spiral shaft head that leads to the top where a high spinning decoration with bronze figureheads meets the ceiling.

The rosewood and ash side chair has an oval back, fluted legs and a crested acanthus crown carving. The upper back carving is missing a carved head of Christopher Columbus. The chair has serpentine braces. The frame holds and upholstered seat and back. The upper back frame (on the reverse of the medallion) is faintly marked, believed in faded black paint or ink, beneath a circular design, "XA - 248".

The rosewood and ash side chair has a central garland carving on a modified balloon back and deeply grooved cabriole front, including front legs. The seat and back are upholstered. Note: Chair (0985.13.224) in the Center Parlor is also marked as (978.12.2).

The rosewood and ash side chair has a foliated tendril carving on a balloon back and braces. It also has a deeply grooved cabriole front, including front legs. The seat is upholstered.

The English manufactured, veneered secretary consists of a glazed case on chest of drawers with a cupboard front and two shelves. The hinged fall front desk has a scalloped surface. The door tops, drawer, cupboard doors, and transition molding all have modified garland carving.

One of three (3) painted maple fancy side chairs are identical. Each has an oval back with splat and baluster turned legs. This chair originally had a rush seat, which was later reproduced and replaced.

URN -

This soft paste porcelain glazed urn is in Sevres blue celeste with gilded brass and gesso decorations. The urn has Grecian style earred handles with leaf cascades. There are two polychrome panel medallions, one is of a man and women, the other of a house on a body of water. The lid has a brass pineapple knob. The urn is in excellent condition, however, the lid has two mended radial cracks. A very unique mark was made under the lid, which is a late-19th century copy of the earlier stamp. There is a paper label attached that reads, "William D. Hayes"

ETAGERE -

One of two (2) Rococo Revival etageres are a matching pair. Each is carved rosewood with a mirror back; each base is covered with a yellow marble shelf, which is broken. A single drawer is in each base. The carved rosewood is in a leaf motif design. "N. SCHOTT" is stamped above the lower left leg on the back (as facing front).
