Confederate Navy Cutlass: straight, single-edged blade with spear point and no fuller; iron hilt consisting of two round branches welded to sheet iron guard and flat knuckle bow terminating in flat pommel; two-piece wooden grip held to blade tang by two rivets. No scabbard.
