"J. E. B. Stuart to Col. [?], April 27, 1864" Physical Appearance: The letter is from Stuart to an unnamed Colonel, dated April 27, 1864. Stuart wrote this rough draft of a report on military operations at Mine Run in late fall 1863, half in pen and half in pencil, complete with strike-throughs and revisions. The letter is unsigned.
