Model 1850 U.S. Foot Officer's Sword: slightly curved, single-edged blade with two fullers, blade etched with floral sprays and military trophies, eagle and "US"; gilded brass hilt with guard decorated with pierced design of floral sprays, knuckle bow pierced for sword knot near pommel which is decorated on forward edge with oak leaves; wood grip covered with shagreen and twisted wire. Leather scabbard (.63a) with brass mounts.

Single breasted, 7 button front, greenish-brown wool and cotton cloth (faded from gray) with black twill wool cloth collar facings and shoulder tabs (with side-facing buttons); green worsted wool cord piping, light brown cotton sheeting lining in the body and sleeves, Federal Eagle "I" buttons with no backmarks, Mobile Volunteer Corps buttons on shoulder tabs with backmark: SCOVILL MF'G CO/WATERBURY.

British Enfield rifle musket; serial number 3079. Inscribed on stock: "LC LA Z.v" "H" Inscribed on barrel: "*25 *25" Lock stamped with crown and "TOWER 1861"

Single brass spur with half-round heel band and 10-point iron rowel; leather strap with iron buckle passes through slots in terminal ends of heel band. Broken into 2 pieces (a,b).

SASH -

sash of red silk mesh with faded tassels.

No scabbard.

Six button front, cadet gray wool cloth with a turndown collar lined in the same material as the cape, no buttons.

BRICK -

Red brick fragment with gray paint on one side.

Body armor for right half of body. Made of sheet iron with a bent metal shoulder hanger. Left side of metal pierced by projectile. Piece of paper with inked inscription adhered near front center.

The pipe consists of a porcelain figure and bowl with a wooden stem. The figure appears to be a vivandiere.

SADDLEBAG -

Black leather double bags with iron buckles; single pocket with inner leather flap with Y-strap. "Captain B.H. Harrison Third Virginia Cavalry".

Model 1860 U. S. Officers Light Cavalry Saber: single-edged, curved blade with flat back and rudimentary false edge and two fullers; back of blade engraved "Manuf de Klingenthal Coulaux & Cie"; brass hilt with a knuckle bow and two branches, decorated with a floral scroll at the distal ends of both branches, flowing from an oval guard and terminating at the pommel which is decorated with leaves along its forward edge, forward end of guard decorated with floral spray; wood grip with swell in the center covered in shagreen and wound in twisted brass wire. Metal scabbard (.586a) with two suspension rings and large drag.
