Model 1850 U.S. Staff and Field Officer's Sword: slightly curved single-edged blade with two fullers, etched with floral sprays, military trophies, eagle and "US", obverse ricasso etched "W / Clauberg / Solingen", surrounding standing knight, reverse ricasso etched "Schuyler, Hartley & Graham, New York", back of blade etched "Iron Proof,"; hilt of gilded brass consisting of two branches filled with pierced floral designs and the letters "US"; knuckle bow pierced for sword knot near pommel, pommel decorated with floral spray on the forward edge , wood grips covered in shagreen and wound in twisted wire. Metal scabbard (.34a) with brass mounts.

Four-piece breastplates (or cuirass) of sheet iron with hinged sheet iron tassets. On left shoulder strap, stamped, "Patent applied for". On right shoulder strap, stamped, "Atwater Armor Co. New Haven Conn". Each piece stamped, "3CC", except the hinges are stamped, "3". Complete set of armor, with one lower hinge broken and two upper hinges bent.

Model 1850 U.S. Foot Officer's Sword: slightly curved, single-edged blade with two fullers, blade etched with floral sprays and military trophies, eagle and "US" etched "C Roby & Co / W Chelmsford / Mass", back of blade etched "iron proof"; leather cushion at juncture of blade and hilt; gilded brass hilt with guard decorated with pierced design of floral sprays, knuckle bow pierced for sword knot near pommel which is decorated on forward edge with floral sprays; wood grip covered with shagreen and twisted wire. NORTH PATENTED JUNE 17, 1856 JANUARY 18, 1859 MAY 15 1860."; "W" scratched into one side of the grip, star (*) is scratched on the other.

Metal scabbard (.89a) with brass mounts, brass throat damaged, short length of leather strap with white metal buckle attached to lower suspension ring.

Model 1850 U.S. Staff and Field Officer's Sword: slightly curved single-edged blade with two fullers, etched with floral sprays, military trophies, eagle and "US"; "HORSTMANN / & SONS stamped on obverse ricasso, PHILADELPHIA" stamped on reverse ricasso; hilt of gilded brass cosisting of two branches filled with pierced floral designs and the letters "US", knuckle bow pierced for sword knot near pommel which is decorated with floral spray on the forward edge, wood grips covered in shagreen and wound in single strand of brass wire (probably a replacement). Metal scabbard (.64b) with brass mounts.

The two window/door lambrequins (1 pair) are made of red and gold wool lampas, a wool damask with a gold worsted warp and filler float stain . The lambrequins are done at 6 1/2" point, mirrored to 13".
