General Orders No. 75 , June 24, 1862 Physical Appearance: The military orders are General Orders No. 75, dated June 24, 1862 and contain Gen. Lee's battle plans on the eve of the Seven Days' Battles. This copy, signed by Lee's aide, Robert H. Chilton, was sent to Maj. Gen. John B. Magruder. (See "Official Records," XI, pt. 2, 498-499; Dowdey & Manarin, "Wartime Papers of R. E. Lee," 198-200.)

ARMCHAIR -

This massive carved oak arm chair has incised square feet with fluted stretchers and uprights. The back crest has a carved lone star in a circle of flowers at the top with two scroll shaped back slats, plain seat.

General officer's kepi of dark blue wool; "CSA" within wreath embroidered in gold thread on front of cown; four strands of gold braid around base of crown above band and on front, back, and sides of crown; gold braid quatrefoil on crown top; black leather visor. Brown leather sweatband. Original lining is maroon, gold embossed on interior flat portion, "Rouart / Rue Richelieu / 86".
