Robert E. Lee to Mrs. Thomas J. Jackson, January 25, 1866 Physical Appearance: The letter is a typed copy of the original from Lee to Mrs. Thomas J. Jackson, dated January 25, 1866. In this lengthy letter to Jackson's widow, Lee offers some corrections to Dr. Robert L. Dabney's statements in his life of Jackson.
