Physical Appearance: Endorsement, dated March 20, 1863 - H[ea]d Q[uarte]rs [Army of Northern Virginia] - "Respectfully submitted to the Adj[utan]t & I[nspector] Gen[era]l for decision" - Lee states his opinion that his staff officers may properly transmit his orders without Lee himself sending the orders directly to corps commanders.
