Physical Appearance: June 16, 1863 - Geo[rge] H[ume] Steuart, at H[ea]d Q[uarte]rs Steuart's Brigade, Johnson's Division, 2nd Corps Army [of] N[orthern] V[irgini]a, to Sir [Major General Edward Johnson] - Requests permission to purchase a small horse captured from the enemy. States the horse is too small to pull artillery or wagons. Signed, "Geo. H. Steuart" Brig[adier] Gen[era]l.
