Physical Appearance: In this autographed letter signed, dated January 28, 1896, Mosby confides to Dr. Monteiro that he stays busy writing, having just penned a response to Longstreet's criticism of Stuart. Mosby has also seen a "jesuitical attack" on Stuart by Col. Charles Marshall and calls it "all a lie . . . It looks like a I shall be at war forever." (See "Letters of J. S. Mosby," p. 79.)
