He mentions Washington College and the Southside Railroad as examples. Four pages, signed by Lee. A negative photocopy of the letter is also located in the folder. [This letter remains in the Lee Collection, Box 2.]
Archival History This letter from R. E. Lee to Robert H. Chilton was originally part of the Robert Hall Chilton Collection, located in the MC 3 C-193 files. It was transferred to the Lee Collection in July 1997.
