Letter form John S. Mosby to Dr. Aristides Monteiro, January 3, 1895
Physical Appearance: Autographed letter signed from John S. Mosby to Dr. Aristides Monteiro, dated January 3, 1895 in Warrenton, VA. Mosby notifies Dr. Monteiro of a reunion of their men, which he will attend, to be held in Alexandria, Virginia on January 16. Mentions that on January 17th, "Once a Week" will publish Mosby's wartime sketch, "Harper Weekly" "sometime soon will publish my account of the Blazar fight." Mosby also encloses a letter from a Suffolk, Virginia woman, who possesses a wartime portrait of Mosby by artist Edward C. Bruce. In the postscript, "I have written a service of Sheridan Valley campaign in which I give "little Phil" ...hell." 1 pp. Marks: "No. 40" in top margin.
