Physical Appearance: The letter is a photocopy of the original (autographed, signed), dated February 20, 1864, from Lee to his brother Charles Carter Lee. Lee discusses the problems of supply and how his brother can help encourage farmers to produce "grain, hay, and bacon" for the army.
