Physical Appearance: Autographed letter signed by John S. Mosby to Dr. Aristides Monteiro, dated April 10, 1895 in San Francisco. Letter written on "Southern Pacific Comany: Law Department" letterhead. Mosby says he will not publish "Memoirs of the War in Virginia" for another year and instructs Dr. Monteiro to write a piece and asks him to solicit other contributions from Tom Booker, Ben Palmer, and Joe Bryan. Wants description of "our life - social and military - in Northern Virginia" and memoranda of the raid Tom Booker, Ben Palmer and Coly Jordon (?) were on. 1 pp. Marks: "No. 41" in top margin.
