M. - C[harles] Minnigerode, Jr. at H[ea]d Q[uarter]s Cavalry [Corps], Tabernacle Church, to Col[onel] T[homas] T[aylor] Munford- Sends instructions from Major General Fitzhugh Lee for the colonel and his command to not go to Goode's Bridge tonight unless you receive orders to do so. Also directs that they be saddled up and ready to go at daybreak. Signed, "C. Minnigerode, Jr." A[id]-d[e]-C[amp]. Two covers are also present in the folder: 1) blank cover with printed letterhead, "Headquarters Fitzhugh Lee's Cavalry Brigade, Official Business." 2) cover addressed to, "Brig[adier] Gen[era]l Fitz[hugh] Lee / Mrs. Hill's Boarding House / C[o]rn[er] 5th & Franklin St[reet]s / Richmond, V[irgini]a." A partial postmark reads, "OCT / 29 / . . . ER / Va." A black ink postal stamp reads, "PAID / 10 [cents]."
