Physical Appearance: November 7, 1862 - R[ichard] B[rooke] Garnett, at Camp near Culpeper C[ourt] H[ouse], V[irgini]a, to Major A[sbury] Coward, A[ssistant] A[djutant] G[eneral], to Brig[adier] Gen[era]l D. R. Jones - Draft "report of the part taken by Pickett's Brigade of Gen[era]l D. R. Jones' Division, which I commanded at the battle of Sharpsburg, [Maryland]." Garnett's command consisted of the 8th, 18th, 19th, 28th, and 56th Virginia Infantries. Signed "R. B. Garnett" Brig[adier] Gen[era]l Com[man]d[in]g. 6 pp + extra blank sheet. Marks: "Copy" at top of page [1].

Mentions: "Howard's troops Scotland [?]" and Washington's Artillery

Archival History Garnett's report on Sharpsburg was formerly located in the MC 3 G-390 files. It was transferred to CML / Garnett in August 2002.
