Letter from John S. Mosby to Dr. Aristides Monteiro, May 7, 1890
Physical Appearance: In this autographed letter signed, dated May 7, 1890, Mosby writes Dr. Aristides Monteiro that he will be unable to contribute to Monteiro's memoirs as he is busy writing his own. Again, Mosby mentions that Monteiro incorrectly notes in his memoir the number of men Mosby led in war. The letter is a short, made shorter by the cutting off of Mosby's signature. A reference is made to an included letter from Mosby's son Beverly (now filed separately in Mosby Ephemera). Marks: "No. 8" and "Private" in top margin. 1pp.
