Physical Appearance: September 1, 1862 - R[ichard] B[rooke] G[arnett] at [location not given] to Col[onel] R[obert] H[all] C[hilton], A[ssistant] A[djutant] G[eneral] [to] Gen[era]l R[obert] E[dward] L[ee], Com[man]d[in]g - Gives a brief report on serious injuries to both Gen[era]l [Richard Stoddert] Ewell and Gen[era]l [Isaac Ridgeway] Trimble. Advises that Ewell has lost a leg. Notes the recent battle has cost him "several valuable witnesses." Signed "R. B. G." B[rigadier] G[eneral]. 1 page.
