Palfrey, to Brig[adier] Gen[era]l Geo[rge] H[ume] Steuart, Com[man]d[in]g Brigade, through Gen[era]l [Robert Edward] Lee - Responds to a request made by Steuart for assignments of Major George Williamson as Ass[istan]t Adj[utan]t Gen[era]l and Lieut[enant] McHenry Howard as Insp[ecto]r General for Steuart's Brigade. States that request for Williams has been approved but not for Howard, as the brigade is not entitled to an Inspector. Signed, "Ed. A.
