Physical Appearance: The letter is from Charles S. Stringfellow to Jones, dated June 9, 1884. Jones' former Assistant Adjutant General writes from Richmond, Virginia. Stringfellow reminds Jones that he was with Gen. Breckinridge for the fall of 1864 and is therefore unable to judge Beauregard's statements on the condtions of signals and telegraphs. On the back: "Major Stringfellow was my Adr. Adj. Genl" Signed by Sam Jones. 1 pp.
