Letter: Braxton Bragg to Colonel Benjamin S. Ewell, January 14, 1863
Physical Appearance: January 14, 1863 - Braxton Bragg at Tullahoma, [Tennessee], to Col[onel] Benjamin S. Ewell, Chattanooga, [Tennessee] - Gives a more complete reply to the Colonel's "private dispatch of yesterday." Concerns a rumor that Bragg "would apply to be relieved from army." Comments that "some of these officers did not meet my expectations and to their shortcomings I am indebted for the failures of Wednesday evening and Friday evening. on the enemy's left flank." States that if he retired temporarily "there is no man here to command an army. The one who aspires to it is a good drill master but no more . . ."
