George Wythe Randolph, Secretary of War, [Richmond, Virginia] - Recommends Colonel Bradley T. Johnson for promotion. Signed, "Richd. S. Ewell," Major General. 3 pp. 1st page > Label: "68" near upper left corner. 3rd page > Endorsement > [n. d.] - "Col. Johnson is a valuable officer, and I hope his service will not be lost to the Confederacy." Signed, "T. J. Jackson," Major General. 4th page > Stamps: Rectangular, red ink, "Record & Pension Office / 1900 / War Department / May 2 / 603162." Marks: "No. 6" - "No. 9" - "Jackson & Ewell recommend promotion."
