Physical Appearance: Letter dated November 14, 1863, from Col. Robert C. Trigg at Missionary Ridge, Tennessee, to Major General Sam Jones. At suggestion of the officers of the 54th and 63rd Virginia Infantries. Trigg requests permission for the two regiments to return home. Mentions General Buchanan as "the only man who could set up a claim in opposition" to Jones for the 54th regiment.
