Physical Appearance: October 10, 1864 - Maj[or] Gen[era]l Jubal A[nderson] Early to Alexander R. Boteler - Requests Boteler review a letter before Early sends it to the "Richmond Enquirer" refuting charges of drunkenness, etc, during the battle at Fisher's Hill.
Archival History Alexander R. Boteler served as Col. and Volunteer Aide-de-Camp to "Stonewall" Jackson from May 30, 1862 into August 1862. He also served as Col. and VADC to J. E. B. Stuart from August 15, 1863 through May 1864.
