Brigadier General Ambrose R. Wright to "Dear Daughter," February 7, 1864
Physical Appearance: February 7, 1864 - A[mbrose] R[ansom] Wright at H[ea]d Q[uarte]rs Anderson's Division, near Orange Court House, [Orange County, Virginia], to "My Dear Daughter" [unidentified] - Writes to her in the hours before daybreak while it is raining. Comments on Federal movements ten miles below at Morton's Ford. Does not think there will be much of a fight due to the rain. States that she need not worry about him, as he is "in command of a Division now & by following an illustrious example I need not expose myself." Mentions family members. Signed, "A. R. Wright" 2 pp.
