Letter from Brigadier General John D. Imboden to W. S. Pilcher, September 8, 1863
Physical Appearance: September 8, 1863 - H[ea]d Q[uarte]rs Val[ley] Dist[rict] near Harrisonburg, [Virginia], to W. S. Pilcher, Esq. - Concerns whereabouts of men that Pilcher recruited and sent to Buffalo Gap. Imboden supposes they scattered to different companies, many to Jackson's Brigade but thinks Major White can give him a better answer. Does not think Pilcher will have any success in Richmond recruiting for White's Battalion. Signed "J. D. Imboden" Brig[adier] Gen[era]l Com[man]d[in]g. 2 pp.
